Even if you live in a quiet, secure neighborhood, that doesn’t mean you should be careless with your home and garage. • Driveway Mirrors – Any vehicle has blind spots…and the entrance of a garage is its own blind spot. Get a full picture of what’s behind you before you back out with a convex wide-angle driveway mirror. It’s the same type of mirror that you see at the end of grocery aisles or on blind curves on mountain roads, and mounts easily on the door frame to your garage.
• Floodlights – Ward off intruders with a floodlight, while also making your steps, porch and deck safer at night. Choose from a motion-activated security-style light, or a floodlight that comes on automatically at dusk. With a low price tag and battery power (meaning no wiring), you can afford to mount several around your property!
• Motion Detectors – Whenever someone comes within 22 feet of this motion detector/floodlight, it automatically triggers a bright LED light to illuminate the entire area (while a photosensor prevents it from turning itself on during daylight hours). Its sconce-style housing fits in with any porch or garage, and battery power means no wiring and easy installation. For a bigger property or longer driveway, consider a motion detector with a half-mile range and an indoor receiver to let you know when someone is coming.
• Garage Door Monitor – Easily keep tabs on whether your garage door is closed with a wireless monitor. The sensor installs easily with hook-and-loop tape, while the indoor receiver plugs into any AC outlet. Green and red indicators show whether the door to the garage is open or shut.
• Driveway Monitor – Another variation on motion detectors, the driveway monitor’s receiver gives you an audible tone to let you know that someone is pulling in. Its wireless technology, battery power and 400-foot range means that it’s easy to install and reliable!
