Got a long trip coming up? Remember that just about any car, minivan or SUV can start to feel cramped and uncomfortable after enough hours, regardless of how well-appointed and spacious the interior is. And when it’s time for someone else to take over the driving for awhile, resting your head on the window or door panel is never all that comfortable. Car pillows and car blankets can help! You can grab a pillow from your sofa or bed, but chances are you’ll find that it’s either too bulky or too thin to really be satisfactory. - Car Pillow: The right car pillow can conform to work as a lumbar support, a seatbelt pillow, or a passenger’s pillow for naps. That’s something that a sofa pillow can’t always live up to! And a sheepskin pillow, filled with soft, hypoallergenic foam, can do all that and more, with “just-right” support and a luxurious sheepskin cover.
- Neck Pillow: Newer model cars have much better-designed seats, with good head restraints and generous bolsters for your thighs and back. The one area that is still not well supported, though, is the back of the neck. A neck pillow, filled with memory foam and covered with microsuede, can give you the right support. They fasten quickly with Velcro and are equally suitable for car or plane travel!
- Car Blanket: A blanket should be part of any car’s emergency kit, but it’s practically a necessity on a long car trip. Better yet, how about a soft, heated car blanket that plugs into the cigarette lighter? A nice heated blanket that’s big enough to keep two people warm?
- Nap Sack: Designed to carry a car blanket and car pillow together, the Nap Sack fits them both into a zippered storage pouch that also doubles as a pillowcase for the inflatable pillow. The blanket also features a built-in pocket for MP3 player, phone, or reading glasses.
